The Performance Practice helps leaders and organisations elevate performance, strengthen culture, and navigate complexity with clarity and confidence. Founded by seasoned executive advisors, we bring deep expertise across talent identification, leadership development, organisational strategy, and culture, supporting our clients through pivotal moments—growth, transformation, restructuring, M&A and evolving business demands.
Our work sits at the intersection of strategy and people—helping leaders clarify direction, mobilise teams, and build the capabilities required to execute. Our approach blends practical insight with strategic rigor—aligning people, priorities, and systems to build sustainable high performance. The result is leaders who lead with intention, and organisations positioned to thrive.

Drawing on over two decades of hands-on experience at the intersection of people, strategy, and organisational effectiveness, Sally Dwyer established The Performance Practice (TPP) in 2012. Her vision was to create a different kind of HR partnership—one designed to help organisations of all sizes unlock the full potential of their people, even when facing the most complex challenges. With a firm focus on removing the friction between strategy and performance, The Performance Practice is a trusted advisor to CEO's and CPO's.
Her background is in global organisational effectiveness and leadership transformation — partnering with executive teams to align structure, capability, and culture to strategy. She has led large-scale talent and leadership transformations, built succession and bench strength frameworks across regions, redesigned operating models to improve accountability, and coached senior leaders through growth and performance inflection points.
What that means is practical impact:
– clarity on whether you have the right leaders in the critical roles
– stronger execution discipline and decision velocity
– succession depth for key value-driving positions
– and a culture that supports performance, not politics.
She is particularly effective at bridging board expectations and executive delivery — translating strategic ambition into leadership behaviours, role clarity, and operating cadence that drives measurable results.
Sally’s extensive career spans executive HR leadership roles within some of the world’s most innovative and respected organisations, including Barclays, Commonwealth Bank, Macquarie Group and Accenture. This deep, diverse background has provided her with a unique perspective, allowing her to understand firsthand what truly drives success—and what hinders it—across industries ranging from FMCG’s, Financial Services, Education and Media.
